Keeping it Real

Lest you think from the edited photos and tales of domestic bliss that our home and life are always perfect, let me share some secrets, completely unedited:

Plants are dying...
Laundry doesn't get put away...
Toys don't get picked up...
Used tissues from sick children get left out...
 Blankets get lost...
 Crafts fail...
Junk collects...
Grimy handprints and leftover crackers get ignored...
 Shelves collect piles...
The kids watch movies.  Lots of movies...
But I am wearing a dress today instead of pajamas.  (Actually this is pretty normal.  I just can't feel productive day to day if I don't get dressed.)  And our bed did get made...
Because Daniel did it for me.

Super cute dress! Love it! And I am constantly finding the grimy fingerprints all over the tables and counters. I hate that! And as soon as I wipe them away, my boys come running to wipe the water around on the table that's left, so it's a vicious cycle over here. Grr. :)

Haha I love it!! Everyone's "perfect lives" posts get old fast. It's nice to have someone post something REAL. :)

I LOVE this post. It is more like real life than all the "perfect" posts we always see. I almost did a post like this for when I have been working on one of my sewing projects. You know, show the "perfect" little project I completed, then show what my house looks like once one of those projects are done (a HUGE mess). That is reality! Ha ha ha
