Thanksgiving (Better Late Than Never)

On Thanksgiving Day, we joined my mom's family in Bountiful for dinner. My entire immediate family was together, which was really fun. We also had my Grandma, several of my mom's siblings, and some cousins. I really enjoy visiting with my extended family even though it doesn't happen as often as I would like. We spent the whole afternoon and early evening at my Uncle Jon and Aunt Chris' home. The food was wonderful, the company enjoyable, and blessings evident.

We drove to Oak City that night and spent the remainder of the weekend there. We enjoyed the vacation immensely. My parents are in the process of updating their kitchen/dining area, so the guys helped them install a new sliding glass door. Look at these studs.

While that was going on, we gals placed vinyl quotes on tiles for our homes. Thanks for the project, Mom!

We also enjoyed lovely weather, so the kids were able to play outside some.

My nieces and nephews were super adorable, and they all had fun playing together for the most part. My sister's baby, Oakley, is 4 months old and nearly as big as Bentley (17 months old)! We had to take a comparison photo.

Throughout the month of November, we made a "gratitude chain." At least once a day, we wrote on a slip of paper one of our blessings and made a chain. It was a nice reminder of how blessed we are. I don't know why sometimes it's hard to remember that. I truly believe that "a thankful heart is a happy heart."
