On Stage

Emersen had her very first dance performances this month.  Early in the month, she danced at the Festival of Trees.  Daniel couldn't make it because he had class, so my friend Holly went with me to help with the other little munchkin.  Emersen's hair doesn't hold curl from an iron, so I tried putting sponge curlers in her hair.  It definitely worked, but I have to figure out how to make it not so crazy.  She was pretty cute.

Emersen was so excited to wear her pink dress and dance.  All the way in, she kept saying, "Let's go dance!  Let's go dance!"  She could hardly stand still while I tried to put on her ballet shoes and hairbow.

She was fabulous on stage.  Didn't get shy or scared at all.  She just danced and smiled.  It was SO much fun to watch her.  I think I was grinning the whole time too.  Afterwards, we walked around to see the trees and gingerbread houses.  Emersen kept saying that everything was her "favorite."  Both kids were pretty tired by the end of the night.

Her Christmas recital was a week later at Taylorsville High School.  Grandma and Grandpa Staheli were able to come watch her this time.  Again, she did a great job.  She knew the dance so well and smiled big.  If you can't tell, she is the one on the far left at the beginning of this video.

The dance company gave all the kids medals afterwards.  We are so proud of our little dancer!
